Thanks barriew. i knew about the cambridge model boat club. shame i didn't find it when i lived in cambridge. i do plan on joining when i get a model built.. The boats we sail . we are one of the few clubs in the uk with an active fleet of r36r class radio controlled model yachts. these boats are ideally suited for our needs, with a short keel and can carry a large sail rig needed for our sheltered and shallow pond.. Competitive activities in scale steering & club 500 racing including annual trophy events. all year round access to excellent private lake with on site facilities. we have club members competing at both national & international level events. a friendly, sociable club with a wealth of knowledge & experience, to help newcomers of all ages..
