Mears boat builders are happy to take commissions for building new wooden boats. our history pages show some large vessels built in the past; but we tend to sway towards 25 feet and smaller nowadays – although we go where the work takes us.. A couple of years ago my attention turned towards the incredible structures that are traditional wooden boats. so, excited about learning new skills and the possibility of combining my work with another passion - sailing - i moved to falmouth to study boat building..
